The Family Educational Right to Privacy Act (FERPA) protects student information for students who enroll and attend OSU. Student data, including data exports, should only be shared with other OSU faculty and staff with a legitimate purpose for accessing the data. All users must review the FERPA information on the OSU Registrar's Website and complete the required FERPA training. Requests to share data with non-OSU individuals must be approved by David Mariott, Director, University CRM Systems, in accordance with institutional policy. Recruitment and admission information for students who enroll and attend OSU is considered part of the student's educational record and is protected by FERPA. Access to student records from previous recruitment cycles (including current students) is restricted. The Office of Undergraduate Admissions and the Student Success CRM Team offer regular introductory Slate training sessions via Zoom. To register for a training, please visit this website to choose a date and time. Faculty and staff should complete the training prior to granting Slate access. Student employees are welcome to attend but may receive additional specific training from their direct supervisor.
