McKnight Scholars Leadership Recommendation Form

Instructions

Recommendations for the McKnight Scholars Leadership Program must be submitted by a high school administrator, counselor, teacher (or college administrator in the case of transfer student recommendation), non-parent OSU alumnus, former McKnight recipient, 4H or FFA leader, or other community group leader for which the student has been involved and served in a leadership position.

If the student who you are recommending is considering participation or intends to participate in varsity athletics as a student athlete, do not include high school or other athletic participation or that he or she intends to participate in varsity athletics on his or her recommendation. Also, do not reference athletics in any way such as lessons the student learned from athletics, discipline the student exhibited during athletics or references to the student’s participation in athletics. References to athletics or athletic participation will likely disqualify the student from scholarship eligibility or prohibit the student from participating in collegiate athletics under NCAA rules. This is to ensure compliance with NCAA regulations.
